This department addresses issues related to forest protection, forest fires trends, prevention and adequate responses in Morocco. It represents the Moroccan government and acts as an observer in the European Commission expert group on Forest Fires, and contributes to the drafting of the Commission’s annual ‘Forest fires in Europe, Middle East and North Africa’ reports.
