Nuclear Regulatory Authority of Ghana

The Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) is an independent regulatory authority in Ghana established August 2015. It is mandated to ensure the peaceful application of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation sources and devices in a safe and secure manner without limiting the benefits to Ghanaians. The NRA’s main focus is regulatory control to ensure that in the use of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation does not negatively affect humans (workers, the general public and patients) or the environment.
