Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS - CEDEAO)

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS; also known as CEDEAO in French) is a regional political and economic union of fifteen countries located in West Africa. Considered one of the pillars of the African Economic Community, ECOWAS was set up to foster the ideal of collective self-sufficiency for its member states. As a trading union, it is also meant to create a single, large trading bloc through economic cooperation. ECOWAS is made up of Institutions and Specialised Agencies.

Centre Regional AGRHYMET

Le Centre Régional AGRHYMET est une institution spécialisée du Comité Permanent Inter-Etats de Lutte contre la Sécheresse dans le Sahel (CILSS). C'est un Centre d’excellence et de référence dans les domaines de la formation et de l'information sur la sécurité alimentaire, la maîtrise de l'eau, les changements climatiques et la lutte contre la désertification dans le Sahel. Le Centre Régional AGRHYMET est un établissement public inter-étatique doté de la personnalité juridique et de l'autonomie financière. Il a un statut international avec siège à Niamey au Niger.

African Ministers' Council on Water (AMCOW) - Executive Secretariat

The African Ministers' Council on Water (AMCOW) aims to promote cooperation, security, social, economic development and poverty eradication among member states through the effective management of the continent’s water resources and provision of water supply services. AMCOW develop and follow up an implementation strategy to accelerate the achievement of water and sanitation goals in Africa. It has also being accorded the status of a Specialised Committee for Water and Sanitation in the African Union.
