Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute (TARI)

Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute (TARI) was conceived by the Parliament Act number 10 of 2016. TARI is a semi-autonomous body under the Ministry of Agriculture, which is mandated to strengthen the national agricultural research system and activate the transfer of agricultural technologies, taking into account the context-specific needs of farmers and other stakeholders within and outside the country.

Tegemeo Institute of Agricultural Policy and Development

The Institute conducts Research and Analysis on policy in the domain of Agriculture, Rural development, Natural resources and Environment. It aims at addressing micro and macroeconomic policy issues bearing on farming, transportation, processing, marketing, and trade of agricultural products and inputs; sustainability of agricultural systems and natural resources as well as the environment; and commercialization, income growth and food security.
