The Cotton Research Institute (CRI) is a leading research institution located in Cotonou, Be

ZARI is the main Government department under the Ministry of Agriculture responsible for agricultural research. It is mandated to carry out public-good and farmer demand-driven research in soils, crops, plant protection, and farming systems, and to provide agricultural advisory services.

Tanzania Agricultural Research Institute (TARI) was conceived by the Parliament Act number 10 of 2016. TARI is a semi-autonomous body under the Ministry of Agriculture, which is mandated to strengthen the national agricultural research system and activate the transfer of agricultural technologies, taking into account the context-specific needs of farmers and other stakeholders within and outside the country.

The Institute conducts Research and Analysis on policy in the domain of Agriculture, Rural development, Natural resources and Environment. It aims at addressing micro and macroeconomic policy issues bearing on farming, transportation, processing, marketing, and trade of agricultural products and inputs; sustainability of agricultural systems and natural resources as well as the environment; and commercialization, income growth and food security.

The Senegalese Agricultural Research Institute (ISRA) is Senegal’s principal agricultural research agency. It falls under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Infrastructure and focuses on crop, livestock, forestry, fisheries, and socioeconomic research.

The Niger National Institute of Agricultural Research (INRAN) is Niger’s principal agricultural research agency. Administered by the Ministry of Agriculture, INRAN conducts research on crops, livestock, natural resources, socioeconomics, and agricultural engineering.

Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute is one of the Research Institutes under the supervision of Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN) in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources. The Institute assesses the quality of exportable crops from Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Gambia to United Kingdom.

NWRI is a specialized institution mandated to build the capacity of all experts and stakeholders in the water sector of Nigeria.

The National Agricultural Research Center (CNRA) of Côte d'Ivoire, provides a public research service with private-type management. It places at the heart of its actions, the sustainable increase in production and productivity in the agricultural and agro-industrial fields.
